Hello to you! I'm Charleen. Most times you will find me with a book in hand. Originally from Atlanta and a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a BFA User Experience (UX) Design, I’ve always had an appreciation for human psychology and the current technological renaissance we live in. As I grew up wanting to contribute to that endeavor due to my passions in storytelling, digital media, and simplistic design, I am most interested in how technology can create meaningful interactions and experiences for anyone, even between complete strangers. My love for user experience is born out of my desire to create and develop solutions to improve daily life in order to further enhance empathy and make people happy.

When I'm not reading or studying, I volunteer at the Good Mews Animal Foundation (I have my eye on one cat in particular) and review places and products on Google Local Guide, Google’s online community program from Google Maps.

I particularly enjoy swimming, gaming, writing (to one day become an author!), collecting pins, horror movies, photography, and traveling.

I'm Charleen and I eat books for breakfast!

A preview of some of the brands I've designed for

Bradley Bergeron, Partner & Director at Thrive Thinking

Charleen thrives in a collaborative environment, and her best work comes through in co-creation with peer designers as she creates accountability and seeks to amplify the work of others. Her willingness to embrace guidance and constructive criticism shows her dedication to professional growth. She consistently seeks to improve and make meaningful contributions.

Mackinzie Blank, Senior UX Designer at IBM

I'm always excited to see what Charleen is working on! She brings an incredible energy and passion to every project and jumps in head-first to research, plan, and execute creative and innovative designs. Always willing to learn and receptive to feedback, Charleen makes a wonderful team member. Any product would be lucky to have her bright mind working on it.
